Meet with YSAs from all over the valley at the lawn east of the Salt Lake Institute adjacent to the University of Utah while you eat a Hawaiian rice bowl with a cold drink and yummy dessert -- all included in the price of registration!
Luau (Outdoors/East Lawn Bring blankets!)

Bring your blanket and with thousands of other YSAs enjoy the music of the Kinikini Family with their traditional music and dancing from the Polynesian islands. Then NaDrua will perform their Reggae Style music and to top off the evening the Mana Poly All-Stars will perform their pop music -- a night with something for everyone.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. Start Line is on the East Side of the Huntsman Center
2. Run begins promptly at 7:30 AM / Walk begins promptly at 7:40 AM
3. All registrants need to pick up bib number Friday night at the 5K Booth, and you must sign a waiver to participate (even if you are only running leisurely)
4. NO Saturday morning registration for 5K – so register online or at the 5K Booth on Friday night
5. HYPER building showers available (BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL)
6. Parking on the EAST side of the Huntsman Bldg and Parking Terrace

Jill Shepherd - Former American Soldier in Iraq and Former Miss Utah
"Keep Your Eye on The Target"
Jill Stevens graduated from Davis High School in 2001 and graduated in May 2007 from SUU with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and hopes to bring laughter back into medicine by putting her costume collection into good use while working in hospitals.
As a Combat Medic with the Utah National Guard for the last seven years, Jill was called up in November of 2003 to go bask in the desert sun of Afghanistan with her unit, the 211th Aviation and returned home in April 2005.
Since being home, Jill decided to bring out her feminine side by not only participating in, but winning, the Miss Utah pageant 2007.
Jill recently married Kerry Shepherd.

Jane Clayson Johnson
"A Pencil in the Hand of God"
Jane Clayson Johnson spent 18 years as a Young Adult in the Church.
She is now the mother of 2 small children and step-mother to 3 teenagers.
For 15 years, Jane was a television news journalist. She anchored The Early Show on CBS. At ABC News, she covered international stories from Indonesia to Kosovo.
Since becoming a full-time mother, Jane occasionally works for National Public Radio. She wrote a book, I Am a Mother, about faith and the importance of embracing your particular season of life.
